Raising Social Responsibility to the Next Level
At Nextend, social responsibility is about making a difference. In addition to employing a diverse workforce, all services provide ways to give back to the community, help those in need and care for the environment. Nextend currently has two programs in place, NextTech and NextCommunity.
NextTech
NextTech supplies computers for programs that teach low-income, at-risk or underserved students about hardware and the interworkings of a PC. The after-school program enables children to earn a home computer while learning valuable technology skills that promote self-esteem and academic success, all while preparing them for today’s technology-driven world.
The NextTech program launched with much success in cooperation with Chicago Public Schools and the Illinois Technology Foundation. Nextend encourages school districts interested in this unique, ongoing program for student enrichment.

NextCommunity
Patterned after NextTech, NextCommunity provides computers for use through inner-city neighborhood community centers and senior centers. The program was developed to give low-income, at-risk, or underserved households increased access to computers and the Internet as preparation for opportunities in today’s technology-driven world.

Workplace Diversity
Nextend is proud to employ a diverse workforce. Providing opportunities for people to have responsibility and accountability helps build self-esteem and promotes independence. Nextend’s diversity comes through direct hires as well as partnerships with organizations such as AHRC of Nassau County, which foster personal growth with similar goals.
